Captain Picard Singing “Let it Snow”
For most of the country it’s pretty cold and gray this time of year and we could all use a little something to cheer us up, a holiday tune should do the trick. We don’t want just any holiday tune though, we want something geeky right? So how about this hilarious “Let it Snow” mash-up video featuring some of our favorite Star Trek characters.
Featured App: Papa Pear Saga
Papa Pear Saga is a game made by the same company who also made Candy Crush (King), and it’s just as addicting. With so many matching games very similar to Candy Crush, Papa Pear is something a little different and very fun.
It does involve “lives”, you have 5 and every time you lose a game, you lose a life, then the timer counts down to receive more. You also have the option of in-game purchases (with real money), such as power ups, or gold bars to help you move along a little faster and easier. If you’ve played these types of apps before, you know all about it. Most of them now a days all work pretty much the same, but I do recommend this game, it is really fun.
Description

Awesome Paper Art by Alia Design
Alia is an artist who creates amazing things with paper. The art is called quilling. Quilling is a craft that involves cutting paper into strips and shaping the pieces into arcs, curves, and coils. Those shapes are then glued into place by hand to make these beautiful designs.
Both the subject matter and style of my work are a departure from traditional quilling. All of my pieces focus on geek culture, employing unique techniques and design elements I developed myself. Though my personal choice of theme falls into the geek realm, I love collaborating to do custom orders of any subject matter! -Alia
Alia sells her artwork on her Etsy page, check it out to buy one of these or a custom order. AliaDesign
